Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work in a supportive primary special needs school in Lambeth to start ASAP. This particular school is looking for teaching assistants that are keen to apply their creative skills on a one-to-one basis and within lessons, encouraging engagement and helping students access the work in a more diverse approach. While experience is useful, it isn’t a requirement; this school is looking for individuals that are passionate about working in education and comfortable working with special needs. For all successful applications, the school likes to invest in their staff and will provide onsite training throughout the role. As a teaching assistant, you will be working in a class of 6 – 8 students supporting them throughout the day in class and on a one-to-one basis. You will be required to follow a tailored curriculum, support students academically and socially, and provide support in lessons such as music, art, cooking, and numeracy & literacy.
The role:
