We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as support workers. The ideal candidates will provide personalised support and assistance to individuals with learning disabilities, brain injuries, mental health conditions, and autistic needs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life and promoting independence for our service users.

Responsibilities:
-Provide person-centred support to individuals with diverse needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, brain injuries, mental health conditions, and autism spectrum disorders.
-Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
-Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, choice, and dignity for all service users.
-Implement individualised support plans and behaviour management strategies in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and healthcare professionals.
-Support individuals in accessing community resources, recreational activities, and social opportunities to enhance their overall well-being and integration.
-Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided, progress, and any incidents or concerns, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
-Communicate effectively with service users, their families, colleagues, and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach to support.
-Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with complex needs.
-Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in responding to the unique needs and challenges of each individual, promoting positive relationships and trust.
-Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and respect for the rights of service users at all times, advocating for their best interests and empowerment.
Qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, brain injuries, mental health conditions, and autistic needs is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals, with a commitment to promoting their independence and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs and preferences of service users, while maintaining professionalism and boundaries.
- A willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development, including safeguarding and medication administration.
- NVQ/QCF qualifications in Health and social care or equivalent are advantageous but not essential.
-Must have a driving license and own car.
Working Hours:
- Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts, may be required based on the needs of service users.
