They also provide services to small business customers including shops, offices, and homeworkers. Grow your potential as an Apprentice Field Technician and join us in connecting communities through our technology, earning £26,500 whilst doing it.
Got a manual drivers licence? Perfect! You'll use it to reach customers across the region, delivering a friendly, knowledgeable service and linking them to what truly matters. You'll also help expand our business by encouraging referrals - earn a £50 bonus for every new customer.
Make things happen
As an Apprentice Field Technician, you'll have opportunities to work on and with the very latest technology, such as our superfast broadband, dazzling TV and entertainment services. By the end of the scheme, you will have learned how to master the ins and outs of installing and fixing our phone, TV and broadband products, including:
1. Running cables
2. Signal level adjustments
3. Making & changing connections
4. Configuring our advanced equipment
5. Educating customers on everything they need to know about Virgin Media O2 services
Our normal working hours would be an average of 37.5 per week. During the scheme, you'll work as part of our teams on early or late shifts, in all weathers, between the hours of 8am to 8pm, including working 2 out of 3 Saturdays.
What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?
This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to become skilled in your role, and combines on-the-job learning and academic study, where you'll spend approximately 20% of your working hours completing learning with one of our training providers. At the end of the programme, you'll receive a nationally recognised qualification.

The must haves
You must have a full manual UK driving licence and feel at ease working at elevated heights. Your wellbeing is our priority, so living in close proximity to your designated areas is preferred to minimise travel.

Our apprenticeship opportunities are available to tech-savvy individuals who relish problem-solving and embody our brand values. This role can be very hands-on so, you should be comfortable and able to handle practical work.

A starting salary of £26,500, rising to £29,000 upon completion. During the programme, you'll work towards a level 2 Telecoms Field Operative apprenticeship.
