Join the Dorset Heaths Partnership (DHP) team in helping to protect and promote the Dorset Heaths habitat. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised officer to join the multi-discipline team hosted by Dorset Council in a supporting role. As the go-to person for contact with the Dorset Heaths Partnership, you'll collaborate closely with the team and partner organisations to support the positive impact of heathland mitigation. What you can expect to be doing: Working with a friendly professional team which shares a passion for the local Dorset Heaths you will be: Providing administrative support for the DHP team. This will include organisation of partnership meetings, minute taking, development of databases, maintenance of electronic mailing lists and purchasing support. Monitoring and maintaining the DHP communication channels. This will include creating engaging content for social media accounts, and the website. Support the development of promotional material, press releases and literature to promote the work of the DHP. The point of contact for all enquiries from partners, members of the public, volunteers and external organisations. Assist the Campaigns Officer, DHP Team and partner organisations in the development and delivery of individual campaigns and projects. About you We're seeking a candidate with: Excellent administration, communication and time management skills Experience of providing content for social media. Experience of using or willingness to learn how to use social media scheduling tools. Experience of delivering behavioural change campaigns would be desirable. Experience in working alongside a different range of community groups such as local communities and third sector organisations and volunteers. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Experience of working as a support role within a team.
