Job Title: Apprentice Service Engineer
Summary of Role
As an Apprentice Service Engineer, you will work alongside our experienced Engineers to perform planned and reactive maintenance for our clients. You will be trained to service and maintain equipment ranging from sprinkler systems and tanks, fire pumps and engines, water mist systems, dry & wet risers, fire hydrants and gas suppression systems.
You will gain valuable experience in working on a variety of projects ranging from commercial offices, warehouses, distribution centres, retail, life sciences, pharmaceutical through to data centres and airports – being supported and developed by our team of experienced professionals.
What you will be doing:
* Working alongside a trained engineer you will gain responsibility for Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and small works projects across a few buildings withing a geographical region.
* You will be trained to service all types of valve sets.
* You will carry out 5 point flow tests on fire pumps.
* You will conduct general service checks.
Desired Skills, Qualities, and Experience (all essential):
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above. A grade 5 in Maths and Science is required for this role.
* Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering.
* Eager to develop new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Good level of Attendance, self-discipline and time management. Meeting deadlines, managing multiple tasks effectively.
* There is a minimum age requirement to be at least 16 years old by 1st September 2025.

About the apprenticeship
You will study towards either a Level 3 or Level 4 Building Services Engineering Technician Apprenticeship which will be completed over 32 to 36 months (the Level will depend on your existing qualifications).
When not studying, you will work alongside our experienced Service Engineers delivering a real servicing engineering role. You will be expected to travel to different sites within a geographical region. You will need to manage your time and commitments well to ensure that you are able to complete your assignments whilst delivering a highly valued role.

GRADES: If you are on predicted grades, your offer will be conditional on achieving the required grades before the apprenticeship start date.
