The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. Job description: We have an opportunity for an Electronics Development Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for the development of on and off-car electronic and electrical systems. At Andretti Global, we aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Principal Accountabilities: Lead the design and development of bespoke electronic hardware to support on and off-car systems, internal test facilities and rigs. Specification of on and off-car instrumentation. Provide technical input into the development of new technologies with partners and suppliers to improve electronic system performance and reliability. Engage in the definition car electronics systems architecture, including system layout, I/O allocation and CAN architecture. Resolution of electronic system faults. Requirements A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering/Electronics) or similar. Experience with the design of low volume prototype analogue and digital electronic circuits. Use of embedded microcontrollers and bare metal programming would be advantageous. Experience with PCB schematic design. Experience with motorsport data logging systems, preferably F1 SECU. Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies. Ability to plan and manage own workloads. Clear and concise communication. Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
