Our Client is currently seeking a hardworking and motivated CNC Grinder to join their team. You will play a crucial role in producing high-quality precision components, using your expertise in grinding techniques and CNC machinery. You’ll work from technical drawings, ensuring components meet stringent specifications and quality standards.

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Fridays 8am-4pm
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Grinder:
* Set up, operate CNC grinding machines (e.g., cylindrical, surface, or tool grinders).
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and CAD models.
* Measure and inspect components to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances using tools like micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment.
* Adjust setups and programs as necessary to ensure precision.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of grinding machinery.
* Ensure the workspace and machinery are kept clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the quality department to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency.
Key Requirements of a CNC Grinder:
* Proven experience as a CNC Grinder, preferably within a precision engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of CNC machine operation.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality.
* Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and dressing processes.
* Ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
* Apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
