The Estimation Manager will oversee the UK Estimation Team to deliver business solutions project estimations within the UK/EMEA regions. You will be focused on enabling the EMEA sales and solution development functions to achieve order intake targets, minimise PVRs (over/underspends) attributed to Solution Development, and support continuous improvement of the EMEA costing tools and the cost estimate calculations contained within the tool. Tasks and Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and guidance for Solution Development UK on costing activities. Direct management of the UK Cost / Estimating team. Utilise the latest cost methodologies to determine the cost of products, modules, and subsystems in a solution. Collaborate with engineering, factories, and other internal departments as necessary to ensure the technical implementation aligns with cost estimates. Stay up to date with the latest estimating methodologies and rules e.g. Maestro Scenario costing tool Regularly benchmark calculated costs and challenge the organisation to improve. Create a cash-flow calculation to ensure that the payments received from the customer cover the costs of the project as they occur. Assist in post-execution analysis of won project tenders and post-mortem analysis of lost project tenders. Communicate progress to the team working on the opportunity. Identify potential risks and opportunities and communicate these to the Solution Project Manager / Sales Manager. Participate in internal project meetings and facilitate effective collaboration among team members. Assist the purchasing department in creating technical requirements that can be sent to third-party suppliers to request quotations. Screen interfaces with third-party suppliers to ensure everything is foreseen. Work with the Solution Design team to optimise the layout for cost calculation. Thoroughly review the customer's RFQ documentation to ensure a clear understanding of all requirements and deliverables and assist in creating a list of inclusions and exclusions for the project scope. Qualifications & Experience: Experience in a global, fast paced, innovative, engineering / technology company. Project estimating experience of the following type of projects desirable: Automation/intralogistics projects, construction projects and/or other large capital projects desirable. Analytical skills using excel. Power BI and SQL knowledge desirable Able to navigate competing priorities, flexible and capable of adapting to a constantly changing business environment.
