Stock Management Assistant
Based at Cobbett House (Oxford Road Campus) – M13 9WL

Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.00 (37.5 hours per week)
Band 3 - £13.13/hr plus accrued holiday pay

We have an ongoing placement available for a Scan4Safety Stock Management Assistant at Wythenshawe Hospital. You will be managing the day-to-day inventory management of specific areas within the Trust. You will be ensuring that a timely and effective top-up stock system is kept and maintained. This is a great role for those who have a lot of experience in a warehouse, procurement or retail setting and have worked within goods-in, stock ordering, tracking and inventory controlling. Excellent customer service skills are also highly advantageous in this role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. To implement and maintain service standards across key departments and wards, undertaking the day-to-day ordering activity on behalf of the customer, in line with agreed protocols.
2. To be responsible for ensuring that customer’s requirements are always met in the most cost-effective way possible, ensuring continuity of supplies.
3. Regular customer contact to ensure stock levels and the range of products held are regularly reviewed, reflect activity, and are updated in agreement with the customer.
4. Receive, check, and put away all deliveries, ensuring that items are rotated, stored in the correct location, and the store areas are left tidy.
5. Keep all associated paperwork regularly updated in line with code and location changes.
6. To adhere to departmental and trust operating procedures which apply to this post, being responsible for ensuring that work undertaken meets the needs of the end user.
7. Make recommendations for the rationalisation of product ranges to ward leads.
8. To undertake any other duties as may be required by the S4S Programme.
To be considered for this role:
1. Excellent customer service, organisation, and communication skills.
2. Full training will be given in this role, although previous experience in a warehouse or retail setting would be highly advantageous.
3. Physically able to work long hours on your feet.
4. English and Maths qualifications desirable (GCSE or above).
5. Ability to quickly learn the role and work at pace.
