Job Description Overview of Business We are partnered with a specialist division within a 5 National Housebuilder. They specialise in design, manufacture, supply and erection of structural timbers to all divisions across the Group. Job description Our client are looking to appoint two Architectural Technicians. Reporting into the Design Manager you will design, prepare and schedule timber frame construction drawings for various types of projects for clients. Your responsibilities will be: Working with the design team, developing architectural designs into workable timber frame structures. Review drawings and information received from both clients and external consultants. Assisting with the production of timber frame construction drawings using AutoCAD. Experience with hsbcad and Elecosoft software is desirable but not necessary as training will be provided. Attend design, quality tracking, information and pre-start awareness meetings as required. Liaison with other departments and collation of all design information to enable our production department to manufacture timber frame buildings. Providing technical advice, problem solve and provide support/backup to other divisions, their consultants and our Contract Management Team. Attend continued professional development courses as and when required. Guide and train lesser experienced members of the team. Attend adhoc site / client visits. Maintain and exceed current levels of quality within the Company.
