About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leeds, a category B Prison located in Gloucester Terrace in the Armley area of Leeds in West Yorkshire. Free on site parking, free gym, lots of opportunity for additional training and development. Hours 37.5 hours a week - 0700hr until 2030hrs day shifts, 1. 5 weekends every month, and bank holidays. 3 nights every 6 weeks and these shifts are 8pm - 7.30am Salary This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211per annum FTE - depending on experience. What you'll be doing As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions. You will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. You will use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team. You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework. Qualifications required Registered Adult Nurse with current registration with NMC Experience in Acute settings Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
