Job Title: New Business Manager Department: Sales Location: Head Office (Stafford) Position: Full Time Hours: 41.5 Principle Purpose of Position: To hunt new business from potential new customers and convert low spending customers turning them into regular spending accounts. Maximising order value & GP, whilst looking out for & developing their own opportunities & enquiries. To provide fit for purpose solutions by understanding & explaining how the products work. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Respond to enquiries from key & non-key accounts Understand and qualify the needs of the customer & provide fit for purpose quotations Carry out accurate site surveys where required to capture project details in order to generate a quotation Follow up opportunities & close orders Generate new sales opportunities from new and existing customers within your sector through telemarketing and other business development methods Carry out customer presentations to individuals or groups either via virtual presentation tools or face-to-face Turning low spend companies into regular spending accounts Maximise upsell & cross-sell opportunities Gain accurate contractual information for each project/ customer Delegate relevant tasks to the Internal sales support to enable free selling time Ensure the accuracy of information used within the CRM system Ensure accurate & detailed information is handed to Operations for won opportunities Monitor competitors, market conditions & product development in your sector & feed this back to the marketing department Overall ensure excellent customer response throughout the sales process Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to develop strong businessrelationships & build confidence Thorough understanding of the sales drivers, sales cycle & negotiating techniques Fast learner & a passion for sales Self-motivated with a results-driven approach & ability to close deals Practical mind & attention to detail to understand our products & deliver a realistic practical solution to the customers with confidence Competence with IT systems Technical know-how, attention to detail & detailed product knowledge Proactive team player Excellent sales skills & a proven track record of working to & achieving KPIs Strong inter-personal skills & the ability to build rapport with customers Clear understanding of target market & requirement to achieve sales targets Intelligent questioning skills to find strategic customer information Excellent telephone manner & strategic sales skills, able to get past gatekeepers & reach key personnel Excellent organisational, planning & prioritising skills to ensure that follow-up deadlines are met even in busy periods Experience: 1 years prior sales experience Prior experience in telephone sales Benefits: Friendly working environment with strong employee engagement, and automatic enrolment onto company bonus scheme (after probationary period completed).
