Job Title: Occupational Therapist

What will your responsibilities be?In this essential OT role within Adult Social Care, you will be responsible for carrying out OT assessments and providing advice and guidance to service users. You will liaise and work closely with contacts from different sectors, including health and the voluntary sector, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ensuring effective communication and sharing knowledge and best practices will be key. You will review and monitor care plans and the quality of service provision, responding to changing needs. This includes developing and evaluating reablement programs as part of care packages to support independence. You will manage your own caseloads or specific projects to ensure specialist inputs are obtained and effective outcomes achieved. Raising awareness of a range of care issues and their implications, carrying out risk assessments, and completing safe methods of work practice guides will be part of your responsibilities to ensure that needs are assessed and appropriate action is taken.

Qualifications and Experiences: To be successful in this role, you must have registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving license, have post-qualified experience, and hold a degree level or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
