Our client, a subcontractor who delivers high-quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector, is seeking an experienced Carpenter with multi-trade skills to join their voids and planned works team on an ongoing basis.
This will involve working in domestic properties mainly in Grantham and the surrounding areas.
Working hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.
The role: Carpenter / Multi-Trade
Working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the Grantham area on a planned maintenance programme. This will involve installing kitchens and carrying out general carpentry while offering a high standard of customer service.
Role requirements:
In order to be considered for the role, you must have proven experience as a Carpenter and be able to provide details of work-related references.
1. Asbestos Awareness & Manual Handling Certificates (we can provide access to free online courses)
2. Have own tools and transport (company van could be provided after a few weeks of service if required)
3. Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.
4. Full driving license (Max 6 points)
5. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Both self-employed and PAYE options are available. In return, the client can offer competitive pay rates, paid mileage as well as ongoing work.
Overtime and weekend work are available if desired. Longer hours can be available depending on demand. Van and long-term subcontracting can be considered after a successful probation period.
