Volunteering in the NHS Event – North Lincolnshire
Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHSFT
People in North Lincolnshire who are thinking of volunteering in the NHS and want to know more about the roles on offer are being encouraged to come along to one of our two volunteer roadshows on Thursday 6th February 2025.
Representatives from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) will be taking their information roadshow to:
The Job Centre, 17 Crown Buildings, Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6JT 2pm- 3.30pm
We are keen to talk to local people about potential openings in the NHS for volunteering. Please note - these are all face-to-face roles such as:
1. Administration
2. Service Improvement Assistant
It's one of several drop-in roadshows currently being drawn up across the three geographical areas the Trust covers, where staff will be able to have face-to-face meetings with local people to explain more about the Trust and encourage their involvement.
There will also be the opportunity to begin the paperwork necessary to start volunteering with the Trust; therefore please ensure to bring the relevant ID with you - see poster attached for what is required.
Main duties of the job
Volunteering within RDaSH can open many opportunities to support meaningful activities, gain some experience, help with getting job ready, put something back into the NHS, and meet new people. If you have a few hours or more to offer in your week, please reach out.
All out-of-pocket expenses will be covered as an active volunteer, including opportunities in training and development.
All roles currently require face-to-face volunteering and are not suitable to be carried out remotely. It would be useful if you could submit your application via Trac before the event. If you have any difficulty in doing this, there will be an opportunity to apply at the event.
If you are unable to attend either of the events and are still interested in volunteering, you can email rdash.volunteers@nhs.net and we can discuss what opportunities may be available for you.
For more details about these events please contact Alison Lopich on A.lopich@nhs.net.
