We are looking for a personal assistant to support a young gentleman in accessing the community. He attends the gym regularly and enjoys visiting museums and going out for walks/lunch.
Our client has a keen interest in horticulture and gaming, so someone with similar interests would be ideal. There may also be an opportunity to visit further afield with the personal assistant, but this would not be a regular occurrence.
The ideal candidate will support our client in making healthy food choices and reminders of portion control due to his size, which is related to a pending health condition.
We seek a compassionate, understanding, proactive, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.
Previous experience or understanding of autism/ADHD is desirable but not essential; however, a positive attitude and good work ethic are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
A DBS check is mandatory at the cost of the employer.
A car driver is desirable, including proof of business cover.
The role is for an average of 10 hours per week, offering a generous £12.50 per hour. You will have access to a workplace pension and 5.6 weeks of paid holiday entitlement per annum. The hours would need to be worked flexibly.
