Nature of the job role: Support in home/Socially
Main Duties:
PA is required to support young gentleman with Cerebral Palsy living in the B17 area of Birmingham. Looking for a PA to cover holidays and sick leave as and when necessary. Supporting employer in the home and occasionally socially, plus hospital and GP appointments.
Personal Duties:
Morning call between 9am and 10am (60 mins X 7 days per week)
Assist and support service user (SU) getting in/out of the bed and assistance with all transfers. Assist to undress, shower, wash and dry hair. Take medication, help with toileting duties. Make breakfast and tidy up afterwards.
Lunch between 12pm and 1pm (45 mins x 7 days per week)
Make lunch and a drink, assist with medication. Toileting duties.
Teatime between 4pm and 5pm (45 mins x 7 days per week)
Make dinner/drink. Upkeep with the home environment and assist with medication. Toileting duties.
Evening call between 7pm and 8pm (1 hour x 7 days per week)
Assist SU with medication. Shower if needed and change into nightwear. Prepare snacks/drinks for bedtime.
Additional tasks:
Assisting with shopping, cleaning, laundry, making the bed and upkeep of home environment. Occasional social support and hospital/GP visits.
Hours of work:
27.5 hrs per week – (Monday to Sunday)

None required
Skills & Experience:
Looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and friendly individual with good communication skills and a knowledge of Cerebral Palsy.
Enhanced DBS check required.
References required.
