ABOUT THE ROLE
A Senior Account Manager (SAM) plays an essential role in the Account Management team, providing key clients with expert knowledge of the affiliate channel and tailored, strategic growth plans, aligned to program KPIs. SAMs are also often responsible for 2-3 more junior members of the team including portfolio coordination and supervision, undertaking performance reviews and guiding personal development. Additionally, a SAM must be confident representing Webgains at wider industry events, keeping abreast of the competitive landscape and following industry trends, including emerging publisher opportunities, new 3rd party solutions and affinity partnerships.
Key Role Responsibilities
1. Demonstrate strong decision making in line with company goals, social, and environmental best practice
2. Deliver excellent service and relationship management to clients and publishers across assigned accounts
3. Ownership of assigned accounts delivery and service levels, pro-actively providing insights to Director of Client Services
4. Negotiating bespoke exposure packages on behalf of own portfolio and Webgains team
5. Conducting off-platform recruitment in line with program specifications
6. Develop vertical-based launch strategies for new programs to the Webgains portfolio and guide/mentor more junior team members on SLA fulfilment
7. Responsible for developing and hosting vertical specific workshops aimed at educating Account Management team
8. Contract re-negotiation within own portfolio and on behalf of more junior members of the team
9. Line management of more junior colleagues, assuming overall responsibility for performance and providing guidance, including PSRs
10. Point of escalation for more junior members of the team, able to diffuse negative situations and maintain relationships
11. Participates in developing AM team direction, vision and strategy in line with Webgains objectives
12. Budget management to ensure optimal ROI – pace performance as per clients’ needs and advise on where to best invest budget to maximize results
13. Advocate and sell affiliate concepts, publisher types and opportunities to clients while highlighting the scale of opportunity and reasons to obtain signoff

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Demonstrate some/sound/considerable understanding and experience of affiliate marketing & recruitment
2. Advanced capability with Microsoft office products
3. Enthusiastic learner, seeking knowledge on internet economy and affiliate channel, competitor and subject matter best practice
4. Ability to manage time effectively
5. Excellent communication skills, oral and written
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving experience, sufficient for resolving complex client relationships or publisher channel related issues
8. Strong experience at Account Management level
9. Extensive experience of QBR ownership and presentation
10. Ability to plan on an annual basis, using long range forecasts and KPIs to ensure performance over an extended period
11. Demonstrable proactivity in reviewing campaign performance, adjusting exposure/placements and liaising with publishers to address issues with performance
12. Comfortable at analysing data sets from a wide variety of sources, drawing both user and market actionable insights
13. Previous experience of line management would be advantageous.

Role Logistics
1. Working hours: 40 per week
2. Working days: Monday – Friday
3. Job location: 3 days London Office (Mon, Thu, +1 other day), 2 days working from home
