What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join our ICU team, with a competitive salary on offer up to £45,450 depending upon experience.
This is a Monday-Sunday, Days, Nights and Weekends role with the following shift patterns:
1. 6 week rota of 19 shifts
2. 08:00 20:30 and 20:00 08:30

Main duties of the job
The Intensive Care Staff Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of patients requiring level 2 and 3 care under indirect supervision from senior staff. They are expected to be able to provide general and specialised direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organisation.

What will your duties include:
3. Provides direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2&3 care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of CCL.
4. Prioritises nursing care, recognizes deterioration in patients condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately.
5. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
6. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
7. Provides teaching and educational material as appropriate, validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
8. Leads the nursing team in the delivery of patient care collaborating with other disciplines to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
9. Participates effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the unit ensures that the Units KPIs are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standards.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
10. Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required, with no restrictions to practice
11. Completed Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course
Desirable
12. Completed 60 credits Adult Critical Care/Intensive Care Course or equivalent
Experience
Essential
13. Demonstrable clinical experience in the field of high acuity critically-ill adults with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, continuous and intermittent hemodialysis, and vasoactive intravenous medications in a hospital setting.
14. Wide range of experience working in critical care specialties including cardiac and cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, renal, and GI surgery.
