Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Medicine Team at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint Junior Clinical Fellows (Junior Locally Employed Doctors) to complement our team.
You will be working in one of Greater Manchester’s busiest hospitals, where over 100,000 patients are assessed in the Emergency Department every year. We seek to recruit dynamic individuals to work in our state-of-the-art ED, which includes a Paediatric Emergency Department, Urgent Treatment Centre, Resuscitation area, and Same Day Emergency Care unit offering a front-door service for Medical and Respiratory referrals.
The post holders will be expected to provide exceptional patient care, with excellent opportunities to develop special interests and maintain skills by managing paediatric and adult acute emergencies. Sim sessions, regular ultrasound training, and a daily dedicated Consultant shift promoting educational activities are also available.

Due to the short-term nature of the role, the successful candidate must hold a current registration with the GMC at the time of application (active licence, ceased licence, or pending application). MFT cannot support GMC Sponsorship for vacancies less than 12 months fixed term. Candidates who do not fit this criterion will not progress to the shortlisting stage.
Please note: MFT is not a right to work sponsoring organisation for Tier 5. Candidates requiring Tier 5 sponsorship must apply through the Academy of Royal College via the MTI Scheme.
