We are seeking a Deputy General Manager to join our team at a leading Vehicle Distribution Centre in Thorne, South Yorkshire. Key Responsibilities: Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, supporting operational teams to implement effective improvement plans. Develop and manage a resource planning model to assist in informed decision-making on labour and subcontract requirements. Act as the second-in-command, deputising for the General Manager during absences and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Standardise operational processes and introduce best practices across multiple sites. Deliver quality-driven processes, innovation, and operational excellence while reducing waste and optimising efficiency. Research and recommend operational improvements, including layout enhancements, IT system solutions, and resource planning strategies. Provide strategic Quality and CI support across the network, aligning operations with customer KPIs and maximising financial benefits. Maintain regular communication and reporting, including verbal, written, and monthly presentations. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards. What We’re Looking For: Proven leadership experience in an operational or logistics environment. Strong background in process improvement and resource management. Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making skills. Ability to drive change and implement standardisation across multiple sites.
