Job Summary: The Project Manager (Prelims) will initially work supporting the establishment of the project's infrastructure. These works will be to deliver the project's site accommodation from ground investigation stage through to occupation, along with the replacement of existing hoardings and gates. These works are to be delivered in compliance with the Mace Dragados JV HS&W processes and procedures and to bring the best quality and commercial betterment for the project. Location: Curzon St, Birmingham (JV MaceDragados). Key Responsibilities: The project manager will be responsible for aspects associated with the delivery of the project accommodation and site hoardings. Project accommodation: Coordination and management of the site investigation works. Management of the design for diversion of existing services & execution of the works Management of the design for the foundations of the project accommodation. Development of the scope of the project accommodation. Management of the procurement, install, commissioning and fitout of the project accommodation. Site hoardings: Development of hoardings graphics & gate systems along with securing the temporary works approvals for their installation. Procurement and management to the sub-contractor to install the systems. Management of the consents to support the execution of the works. Management of adaptions to the installed hoarding systems. Qualifications, Certifications and Experience: Experience working as Project / Programme Manager for significant civil engineering construction project. A track record of delivery within a project / programme or construction management function that has led to performance improvement e.g., cost reduction, process/service enhancements, innovation, winning work etc. Have an excellent track record of project delivery: safely, to timescale, quality and cost. Have demonstrable experience of leadership, building and motivating teams. Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation skills organisational skills, ability to plan and manage own time. Degree or HND. NVQ Level 6 / 7 Construction Contracting Operations Management may be acceptable where a very significant level of experience in a senior technical role can be demonstrated. Membership of an appropriate Professional body. Experience of working on a HS2 project including understanding of consents to support works on HS2 projects. Computer skills SMSTS qualification. CSCS Card First Aid at work Technical Competencies: Experience of planning and delivering construction on major projects and programmes in regulated environments, predominantly around logistics and site facilities. Have excellent communication (written and verbal), management and organisational skills. A good working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
