Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Tool Hire Assistant to join the team in our York branch who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7am–4pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery and collection of hire tools and equipment using a 3.5t vehicle (often with trailer attachment), talking customers through how to operate them on site.
2. Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the branch workshop.
3. Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs, and providing advice and solutions to deliver the best experience possible.
4. Use our in-house systems to process customer hires at the hire desk, organise delivery and collection of equipment, keeping customers updated throughout their journey.
5. Work according to Health & Safety compliance.

Required Skills and Experience
1. UK driving license, held for 1 year minimum, no more than 6 points.
2. Previous industry experience would be beneficial (tool/plant hire).
3. Experience in a customer-facing role with a positive and flexible attitude.
