Your new company
You will be joining a main contractor based in the Birmingham area operating in the water industry. This organisation has a strong pipeline of work with a major water provider in the Midlands region, and they offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position with a mixture of office, home and site-based working.
Your new role
As Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be based out of their Birmingham office and work on sites in the Worcestershire area. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Ensuring project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance
2. Liaising with subcontractors, site management and suppliers
3. Maintaining good client relationships at all levels
4. Monitoring subcontract performance
5. Ensuring all applications for payment are made on/before the due date
6. Assisting in the production of contract programmes, monitoring programmes as well as producing progress reports.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
1. Previous experience in mechanical engineering within the water industry
2. Knowledge of water treatment processes
3. Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety
4. Full UK driving licence.
