Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Learning Support Practitioner with a passion for supporting children’s social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking dedicated professionals with experience in SEMH to support students across primary, secondary, and special schools in Nuneaton, Bedworth, Coventry, and the surrounding areas.

Types of Roles and Responsibilities:
Teaching Assistants (TAs): Assist in delivering lessons and activities tailored to support SEMH students’ unique needs, providing compassionate guidance in structured and unstructured settings.
Learning Support Assistants (LSAs): Offer one-on-one or small group support to help students with SEMH challenges build resilience, confidence, and academic progress.
Learning Support Practitioners (LSPs): Work closely with students requiring specialized, focused support, particularly those with complex SEMH needs, promoting their academic, emotional, and social development.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Adapt to various classroom settings, ensuring continuity and stability for students in need of extra emotional and behavioral support.
* Help foster a positive, inclusive, and secure environment that promotes student well-being and confidence.
* Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to staff, students, and caregivers.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff to address the specific SEMH and educational needs of students.
Types of Work Available:
* Day-to-Day Cover: Flexible roles that adapt to your availability and preferred schedule.
* Short Term (Up to 4 weeks): Opportunities that provide stability for a set period, allowing you to make a tangible impact.
* Long Term (4+ weeks): Extended placements offering continuity and the chance to build strong relationships with students.
* Permanent Roles: Long-term career opportunities with a focus on SEMH support in special education.
Requirements:
* Level 2+ Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant qualification (Desirable).
* Recent experience working with children, especially those with SEMH needs or in special educational settings.
* Strong understanding of SEMH needs and an adaptable approach to different teaching environments.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, compassionate approach to supporting students’ educational journeys.
* SEND experience or training (Desirable).
