Job summary
The Universal Crisis Team for Newcastle and Gateshead are in a position to expand, and are therefore looking to recruit motivated and committed individuals into the Working Age Pathway.
The Working Age Pathway have Full Time Band 5 Vacancy - based at Ashgrove, St Nicholas Hospital.
The post holder will be part of a team working under the crisis model and pathway, offering a 7 day a week service as an alternative to hospital admission. The successful candidate must have relevant clinical experience and ideally have a track record of clinical experience in working with risk and complexity.
The role requires sound clinical skills in all aspects of Home Based Treatment, including management of risk and therapeutic interventions.
This will be an extremely exciting opportunity for any successful candidate and you will be joining an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated team who are HTAS accredited.
The Universal Crisis Team offers a dynamic and exciting work environment that can be both challenging and rewarding. You would be working within a multi disciplinary team that are motivated in delivering high quality care for patients at home.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will deliver care and treatment to patients that have been taken on for Home Based Treatment. This will involve visiting patients in the community that are in mental health crisis. Offering various therapeutic interventions with ongoing risk management. Also engaging in daily MDT reviews, liaising with other professionals and working together in a closely knit team.
