LBEMG is seeking reliable and hardworking Barn Maintenance associates to join our team. As a Barn Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our barn facilities.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Team oversees and maintains the LBEMC facility from building maintenance, barn and stall management, mechanical operations to the complete grounds landscaping needs. Barn and stall maintenance are top priorities for our facility as cleanliness, safety and security are key to our patients' wellbeing and smooth recovery. We take pride in our hospital, barns, grounds and facility.
Some of the critical functions include conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, maintaining barns while implementing best practices for stall cleaning, performing preventative maintenance, handling basic mechanical and electrical repairs, and resolving simple to complex maintenance issues involving LBEMC property. It is critical that each day our facility is functioning at 100% to support the safety and wellbeing of our patients and boarders. Our Maintenance Team is proactively troubleshooting facility issues while keeping the operations running smoothly and safely every day.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the barn is kept in a clean and organized manner
2. Inspect barn facilities and equipment to identify any issues or repairs needed
3. Repair and maintain barn equipment, such as stalls, gates, and fences
4. Ensure the safety of all animals and workers by identifying and addressing any potential hazards
5. Assist with feeding and caring for animals as needed
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in barn maintenance or a related field preferred
2. Knowledge of barn equipment and maintenance procedures
3. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in all weather conditions
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues
5. Good communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to operate farm equipment is a plus
