1. Postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience in managing complex incidents, complaints, and investigations
2. Training in SEIPS/Human Factors
3. Clinical qualification
Desirable criteria
1. Project Management qualification
2. Quality Improvement training to fundamentals level
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Operational experience in the NHS - a minimum of 3 years working in a senior clinical role
2. Knowledge of PSIRF and corporate and clinical governance at an operational level
3. Experience investigating serious incidents.
4. Demonstrable experience of working in complex change environments with multiple stakeholders and securing their engagement
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of working across multiple organisations Working with patients and service users
Skills, abilities and knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Excellent report writing skills
2. Knowledge of PSIRF
3. Excellent verbal and written skills and presenting to large groups

Staff employed in these posts will therefore be asked to register with the DBS Automatic Update Service upon receipt of their DBS certificate and must update yearly, the annual fee will be reimbursed subject to Trust policy.
Please note if a DBS is applicable for the position then a charge will be deducted from your first salary or upfront cost if a staff bank position.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
