This is supported by our investments in low carbon technologies, which will help sustain our business through the energy transition. Direct examples of these areas are ‘Project Greensand’, our pioneering carbon storage project in the Danish North Sea and our investment in HydrogenOne Capital.
The LNG Analyst will be responsible for understanding and modelling the Global Economic Balances, participating in ad-hoc country deep dive projects and understanding the link between the overall Energy Complex to LNG.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Conduct detailed analysis of the LNG market including Supply and Demand fundamentals, pricing and trade flows
* Monitor geopolitical events and understand their impact on the market
* Develop and maintain analytical models to forecast price movements
* Understand dynamics behind arbitrage cargo movements and key pricing indices JKM/TTF/HH
* Generate trade ideas based on fundamentals
* Run and develop further desk models
* Link LNG models and outputs to market views for both LNG and Gas
Skills & Knowledge
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant job experience.
* Quantitative background and understand the dynamics of the LNG market.
* Ideally with 3-5 years’ experience within LNG and Gas Analytics.
Technical Skills
* Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, math, finance, or economics or equivalent.
* Commercial experience in previous roles within LNG/Gas.
* Knowledge of LNG contracts
* Advanced skills in a combination of Excel, Python and statistics
* Good management of large datasets
