An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrative role in a newly commissioned service. The right candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting team colleagues with administrative duties on a daily basis. We are looking for a someone who is driven, passionate and excited to be part of a strategically important service provision, in line with our programme of Community Mental Health Transformation which is aiming to transform and enhance the way we deliver our mental health services and aligned with the Trust’s vision as ‘One-Team’.
The service will employ an innovative model to provide out of area service delivery, gatekeeping for S117 after care applications, out of area placements/independent hospitals and individual funding requests for specialist complex mental health care for people with severe mental health issues. The role will offer an opportunity to make a real difference by working very closely with the OAPs team members, the mental health locality teams, ICBs, Local Authorities, Care Providers, and other key stakeholders.
The role will offer autonomy, variety, and development opportunities as deemed appropriate.
Main duties of the job
To provide a safe and effective provision of Out of Area Placements (OAPs) services on a daily basis. To ensure that Out of Area Placements deliver Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led service with desired outcome for the service.
This will include delivering a service to enable service users to live healthy, fulfilling lives in a least restrictive manner as well as working across boundaries in a seamless manner to maximise a ‘value for money’ care provision to achieve the best possible outcomes for our service users.
The ideal candidate will:
- have experience of undertaking complex administrative duties, use of MS Teams and other software as well as multi-tasking abilities
- be able to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others, and themselves
- be passionate about supporting team colleagues

Education/Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
16. Educated to Degree level and/or evidence of further career development.
17. A high standard of education including minimum GCSE English Language and Mathematics or equivalent qualification.
Continuous Professional Development
Essential criteria
18. Good level of IT skills.
19. First aid training/ fire officer training or willingness to undertake this.
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
20. Evidence of commitment to ongoing continuous skills development.
21. Experience of taking complex minutes at senior level
22. Experience in MS office software including email, word processing, spreadsheet and PowerPoint.
