We are a local authority dedicated to providing excellent services to our community. Our Service Finance team is essential in managing our finances effectively.
We have an opportunity for a Finance Specialist to join our Service Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Specialist, you will deliver specialist advice to budget holders and ensure internal systems and processes are updated and maintained. You will also assist the team to set and manage budgets and work with the Corporate Finance team on financial statements and audits. You will also analyse financial data and provide insights, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
We are seeking a team player with good communication skills who can meet tight deadlines. You should be keen to learn and develop in finance, possess strong analytical skills, and be detail-oriented and accurate. Experience in a finance role within a local authority is desirable.
