We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and motivated Management Accountant who is passionate about delivering an excellent standard of work. Bringing with you an open mind to encourage different ways of working that will continuously improve the level of financial support that the finance team at CPFT provide to colleagues and other partners in the local NHS healthcare system.
You would be joining a supportive and experienced team who are based in Huntingdon. You would also work very closely with the Directorate that the role supports. This would require you to attend meetings with colleagues, either virtually or face to face, and take the opportunity to spend time with them to understand the invaluable services that the NHS offers.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a wide breadth of accounting experience and show strong communication skills, including the ability to analyse, understand and communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues.
Main duties will include:
1. Production of timely, accurate and reliable financial information in line with month and year-end timetables.
2. Establish effective working relationships with budget holders, ensuring understanding and ownership of financial issues pertinent to their services.
3. Supporting the Finance Manager with budget-setting and maintenance of a defined portfolio of services.
4. Supporting the Finance Manager with research award costings.
5. Monitoring of costs and early identification of financial risks.
