The Finance Summer Analyst Program at Morgan Stanley is a 13-week opportunity designed to provide classroom and on-the-job training, alongside valuable work experience. Recruits will work with experienced colleagues on real projects and gain exposure to various professionals within the division. Regular mentoring, coaching, and evaluation reviews will ensure your career is on track. High-performing Summer Analysts may receive offers to join the Full-Time Finance Analyst Training Program.
The program begins with a firmwide induction followed by two days of classroom-based training covering product and industry knowledge, personal effectiveness, technical training, and team-building activities. Summer Analysts will also benefit from on-the-job training, “Lunch & Learns,” networking events, and work-shadowing opportunities.
Responsibilities may include:
1. Calculating the daily profit and loss (P&L) tallies of traders.
2. Writing market commentaries for management reports.
3. Conducting re-engineering projects to review and enhance processes.
4. Using analytical tools to determine current and potential exposure to risk.
5. Preparing monthly financial and management reports.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
1. You are a penultimate-year undergraduate student with outstanding academic achievements and are on track for a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent.
2. You are a team player and excellent communicator.
3. You have advanced technical, quantitative, and project management skills.
4. You are able to multi-task with close attention to detail.
5. You are client-service oriented.
The program is anticipated to run for 13 weeks from June 2024.
