Our international City firm client is looking to add an Employment solicitor with between 2-6 years of experience to the London team.
Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of matters, which will include:
1. The full range of tribunal litigation, covering all aspects of Employment law and, as appropriate, according to the candidate, the opportunity for advocacy at preliminary hearings.
2. Advising Human Resource Managers, In-house Counsel, Managing Directors, and other senior personnel on a variety of employee relations issues.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and advising on HR policies, employment contracts, and directors' service agreements.
4. Acting for high net worth individuals to negotiate service agreements, team moves, or termination arrangements.
5. Advising internationally based clients on Employment law in the UK and co-ordinating international projects and advice.
6. High Court proceedings relating to business protection for employers or employees.
7. Corporate support - often acting as sole employment specialist (excluding pensions) in corporate transactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
1. Candidates must be England & Wales qualified solicitors, with circa 2-6 years' PQE in the UK and experience in the relevant areas described above.
2. Good commercial acumen and potential/proven business development skills and an entrepreneurial attitude.
3. Performing a lead role in negotiations and transaction management.
4. A high level of client contact and previous responsibility for client files.
