The opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurseto join our friendly team in our nursing home in Cardiff.
The main duties of this role include:
* You will work alongside our highly trained staff team of Care Assistants and support residents with their daily needs.
* Focusing on our residents often complex needs,this role will allow you to build on your experience of working in Nursing, residential and EMI care.
* To administer all medication and treatments within the NMC guidelines and Linc's medication policy.
* Report any ill health amongst residents and make requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan.
* Ensure the provision of a high standard of nursing and social care which directly relates to care plans and the regularly reassessed needs of residents.
What we need from you:
* Experience in working with residents - This role is based within a nursing home setting so experience of working with the residents is essential.
* Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience in a care setting - You will be expected to work closely with our residents and be able to identify their specific needs.
* Well-developed time management skills with the ability to work under pressure - to ensure the smooth running of the nursing homes routine.
* Ability to make balanced, clear and timely decisions to ensure the best decisions and outcomes are met for our residents, by taking a pro-active approach in consulting and involving others in decision making.
* Registered Nurse and relevant qualifications.
* IT skills - Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills - it's essential that you are able to communicate well with our residents, their family and friends, and the nursing home team.

* Full time - two week rolling rota (three shifts one week, four shifts the next week and every other weekend off). This offers excellent work-life balance.
* Hourly Pay: £19.30-20.84 dependant on experience and benefit package selected
