Consultant Orthodontist
Applications are invited for a part-time (4 Programmed Activities) Consultant Orthodontist, to replace a retiring colleague. This post is based in the Dental & Maxillofacial Department at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, Surrey.
The Orthodontic department at East Surrey Hospital (built in 2019) has dedicated facilities for diagnosis and treatment, including in-house CBCT, and has close links with the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, where orthognathic surgery is undertaken.
The successful applicant will be joining a supportive team of 2 part-time orthodontic consultants and will provide a comprehensive orthodontic advice service for the local population, working alongside other consultants and senior clinicians in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry, and Special Care Dentistry to provide advice and treatment for complex multidisciplinary cases within the department. There are established orthognathic, joint orthodontic-paediatric, and joint orthodontic-oral surgery clinics with full support from an established nursing and administrative team.
Applicants should be fully registered and on the specialist register (or be eligible within six months of the interview date) with the General Dental Council and hold the intercollegiate FDS in Orthodontics or equivalent experience.
