About the role
We currently have a Roofers Mate vacancy within Guinness Property covering our homes in Crewe, Chester and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will have previous roofing experience and be comfortable working at heights.
To be considered for this post you will need to live within 30 minutes commute of the working area to ensure we can get to our customers in a timely manner. This is a full-time permanent vacancy working 39 hours per week Monday - Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm on Friday.
What we're looking for
We're a customer-focused organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. Reporting to the Service Manager you will be required to assist the Roofer and carry out remedial works to a high quality, ensuring that a customer focused maintenance repairs service is delivered. You will also be able to demonstrate:
* Proven ability to carry out minor remedial roofing works to a competent standard such as (but not limited to) guttering and slate replacement, minor leaks.
* Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
* Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
* Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
* Ability to operate safely having considered any environmental circumstances and possible risks including working at height(s).
* Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.
* A full clean UK driving license.
Desirable:
* Health and Safety Knowledge.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* Experience of working within the social housing sector
*Your £1,000 Welcome Bonus is payable in 2 parts. £500 is paid in your first month's salary and £500 is paid when you pass your probation. To be eligible for the Welcome Bonus you must be an external applicant and not currently employed by The Guinness Partnership.
