They are currently recruiting a Trainee Welding Engineer for their North Fabrication Division to assist the business into future works and technologies.
Hours: 39 Hours per week. However, working flexibility is required.
Job Purpose & Objective
The Trainee Welding Engineer role will be to assist the Global Energy (Group) Ltd Technical team with strategic and operational performances to ensure successful delivery of business strategy and objectives.
Global Energy (Group) Ltd are seeking a hard-working individual, with a willingness to learn, to join our North Fabrication Division. The successful individual shall have a professional attitude towards work, be willing to work on their own or as part of a small team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and work in a challenging environment with various diverse projects.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
1. Promote and adhere to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
2. Learn about welding systems, processes, and policies.
3. Assist with Qualification of weld procedures in accordance with National/International qualification standards.
4. Assist in producing all welding related technical documents.
5. Identify and participate in welding process research and development programs.
6. Maintain WPS, PQR and Welder Qualification records.
7. Provide support to production welding issues when necessary.
8. Assist with Technical documentation and Tender reviews.
9. Review Non-Destructive Testing and project specific procedures.
10. Liaise with customers and clients on a regular basis.
Experience, Qualification and Attributes:
Mandatory
1. Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
2. Good working and professional work ethic.
3. Willingness to learn new skills and processes.
4. Must be able to multi-task in a pressurised environment.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred
1. Working knowledge of Welding and Fabrication operations.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
1. Undertake any agreed training to develop personal knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the team/department/business unit in order to demonstrate and maintain required competency in role.
2. Participate in annual and regular performance appraisal with relevant supervisor and/or manager, identifying and agreeing objectives and targets in relation to personal development.
