About the role…
We have a fantastic opportunity available for an Internal Auditor to join EG Group’s Head Office team! This role will be a part of our Internal Controls Function that will be critical to EG Group’s governance and compliance model.
Reporting into the Head of Internal Controls, the successful candidate will conduct both IT and standard internal audit functions for our global operations. This role involves actively participating in fieldwork to ensure the security, efficiency, and compliance of our business processes, supporting our operations across multiple regions worldwide.
This role will be involve building the Group's Internal Audit process following years of building new controls and documentation with a top 4 consultant partner. This role will include significant exposure to the Group CFO and the Group Finance Leadership Team as well as other critical stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform internal audits across various business functions, including finance, IT, operations, compliance, and supply chain, to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and controls.
* Identify areas for operational improvement and provide recommendations that enhance business processes and mitigate risks.
* Collaborating with other auditors and departments.
* IT Audit: Assist in designing and implementing an agile IT and Cyber Audit methodology that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
* Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in IT systems, networks, and processes across different regions.
* Audit retail management software, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, and customer loyalty programs, ensuring they meet operational and compliance requirements globally.
* Prepare clear and concise audit reports summarizing and present these to senior stakeholders.
* Where appropriate, work on future acquisitions made by EG Group and support in ensuring they adopt standard processes as defined by EG Finance.

Candidate Requirements
* Essential: 5+ years’ experience in Internal Auditing with IT and/or Finance functions.
* Desirable: Professional certification such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or relevant certification.
* Desirable: A relevant internal audit, risk or accountancy qualification is desirable (IIA, IRM, ACA).
* Desirable: Experience with internal audit in a large public organization or external audit in a Big 6 firm.
* Experience of operating in a relatively complex business.
* Have an inventive and pro-active mind-set to independently identify controls related issues and recommend improvements.
* Confident in advising, presenting and providing detailed reporting to senior stakeholders.
