Job Title: Kitchen Manager

The Manager has overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the whole business unit, including areas front and back of house.
The Manager ensures great customer service and the Great at Greens experience is delivered at all times. They will ensure that all staff are trained to the highest level, ensuring that customer needs are met at all times. They will ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and health and safety.
Job Description - Main Duties
Operational
* Ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered to customers at all times, with all staff expected to interact fully with customers on the phone or in person, informing them of any offers and information regarding ingredients for anyone with allergies.
* Ensure all Company operating policies and procedures are implemented consistently at all times, e.g., sickness procedures, holiday requests, Pay escape, procedures from your contract.
* Responsible for ordering stock, ensuring an optimum level of stock is maintained at all times.
* Ensure all deliveries are signed for, checked, and put away correctly.
* Responsible for cash handling, ensuring that any discrepancies are duly investigated and necessary corrective action is taken.
* Ensure a high level of security prevails at all times for employees and customers.
* Responsible for ensuring that any loss or waste is recorded and reported in accordance with Company policy.
* Act as an escalation point in resolving any operational issues or problems.
* Act as an escalation point in handling customer queries and complaints, both by phone and in person.
* Ensure the kitchen is safe, clean, and tidy at all times for staff, customers, visitors, delivery drivers, and G4S.
* Ensure all new staff receive full training and flag any issues to your General Manager.
* Ensure all maintenance and hygiene records are filled in every day and up to date.
People
* Lead and manage the team to deliver exceptional customer service and great food at all times.
* Manage Floor/Oven/Kitchen Porter absence, including sickness and holidays in partnership with other supervisors.
* Motivate and encourage employees to deliver a great customer experience by developing customer service tools and techniques and training employees on these. Manage rotas to ensure that the required staffing levels are in place during operational hours.
* Ensure Floor/Oven/Kitchen Porters receive the required training needed.
* In conjunction with the General Manager/Supervisors, ensure that any employee issues: disciplinary, grievance, or performance, are appropriately addressed in accordance with company policy.
* In conjunction with General Manager/Supervisors, support in the recruitment and selection of new employees.
Financial
* Manage spending in accordance with allocated budgets.
* Ensure cost-effectiveness is considered at all times.
* Ensure the financial success of the business unit.
* Discuss financial targets with the Owner/General Manager.
Health and Safety
* Ensure that all employees abide by the health and safety policy, procedures, and associated working practices as outlined by the Company.
* Ensure that all employees abide by environmental health standards.
* Ensure that all employees abide by food hygiene standards.
* Ensure that up-to-date fire evacuation and first aid information is displayed.
* Carry out regular health and safety risk assessments on equipment and the working environment.
* Ensure the accident book is accurate at all times.
* Identify and escalate any health and safety concerns to the owner.
General
* Attend employee and management meetings.
* Always act in the best interests of the Company.
* Agree to abide by Company policies and procedures.
* Maintain confidentiality in all areas relating to the Company.
* Carry out such other duties as may be reasonably expected of the post.
* Participate in training and development activities as required and assist with the training and development of colleagues as appropriate.
