Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEN Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Chelmsford Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: As an English and Maths GCSE SEN Outreach Tutor, your primary responsibilities will include providing tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the subjects of English and Maths. You will be required to develop individualised learning plans, deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians. Additionally, you will collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure the academic success and well-being of your students. Required Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs - Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a SEN setting Knowledge and Skills: - Proficiency in assessing and addressing the learning needs of students with SEN - Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments - Strong organisational and time-management skills - Knowledge of relevant educational technologies Preferred Qualifications: - Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs - Experience in delivering outreach or home tutoring services Working Conditions: This role involves working on a part-time basis, with flexible hours to accommodate students' schedules. You may need to travel to students' homes or other outreach locations. The work environment will vary, from one-on-one tutoring sessions to group settings, requiring adaptability and strong communication skills.
