Location: This opportunity is available to those who live within a commutable distance of Bath. Due to working hours, we recommend a maximum of one hour from / to base which for this role is Green Park, BA1 1HZ. Please note there will be no reimbursement of travel to and from work.

The BBC Flexi Job Apprentice Agency (FJAA) is offering an exciting opportunity to be a Level 3 Production Apprentice.
The production apprenticeship helps you gain experience in the exciting world of media production. You’ll learn on-the-job, developing your knowledge and skills while working towards your production apprenticeship qualification with our learning provider Bauer Academy.
One Tribe TV are a television production company based in Bath and Chepstow specialising in innovative and inspirational high-end factual content to surprise, delight and inspire a range of audiences for major UK and international broadcasters. Examples of One Tribe TV’s content include: Wonders of the Celtic Deep (BBC2), Jonnie’s Blade Camp (Channel 4), and Sex: A Bonkers History (Sky History).
This role will be split working between One Tribe TV’s offices in Bath for three days per week, and Chepstow for two days a week.
This is an exciting first step into the editorial side of programme making, giving tools for future careers in fields such as Runner, Junior Researcher, Broadcast Assistant, Content and Edit Producers, Junior Production Coordinators, or Technical Operator.
Through the BBC’s Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency, you will be hired by the BBC and be placed with One Tribe TV for the first 12 months of your apprenticeship. The BBC will work with One Tribe TV and Bauer Academy to oversee your successful progress on the apprenticeship. After 12 months you may be given the opportunity to stay at One Tribe TV, or the BBC will find you a new placement.
An apprenticeship requires full commitment and discipline from the learner. Alongside experiences and training, there is an expectation of wider self-learning and the requirement to meet learning objectives and deadlines, as outlined by the apprentice standards. Apprentices must show the BBC and One Tribe TV that they are dedicated to accomplishing the knowledge, skills and behaviour requirements outlined in their apprenticeship learning plan.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
What will you be doing on the apprenticeship?
* Assist with a variety of tasks, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment contributing to every phase of the production process
* General office assisting duties such as answering the phones, filing and scanning, processing receipts and expenses, ordering supplies and other tasks that contribute to the success of the production
* Help to organise shoots including handling call sheets, organising travel and accommodation, location scouting, getting good deals and being able to negotiate
* Organise and complete production paperwork
* Participate in weekly team development meetings.

* Are passionate about their own self-development, showing the discipline and commitment required to complete the apprenticeship.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts in April 2025
* Live within a commutable distance of Bath
* By the start of the apprenticeship in April 2025, have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years
* Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract
* Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.
To apply for this scheme, you must also:
* Not have completed or hold qualifications in the apprenticeship subject at the same or higher level
* Be available for the in-person assessment which will take place at BBC Cardiff Central Square on Wednesday 12th March 2025.
* Be able to start on Tuesday 22nd April 2025.

* Teaching from our learning provider Bauer Academy, and where appropriate, BBC Academy training (may involve travel to locations across the UK)
* A Placement Manager from One Tribe TV, who will oversee your hands-on learning and development
* A dedicated BBC team including a Scheme Specialist and Scheme Advisor to guide you through your employment and the apprenticeship
* A 35-hour working week and 20 days of annual leave

Towards the end of your apprenticeship:
* An industry recognised production qualification
