We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team of experienced marine roboticists designing and building the next generation of collaborative subsea autonomy. You will work with the team to expand and add features to the Loggerhead autonomy engine, from architecture and development to testing and deployment in the field. This is a full time role based out of our Aberdeenshire office, with flexibility on working hours and an agreed amount of home working. The role also has the possibility of international travel to remote testing locations as needed. Responsibilities: Contribute to a team of interdisciplinary engineers Understand best practices and current state of the art in mobile robotics software architecture Implement cutting edge software solutions for subsea robotics systems Deliver high quality, documented and well tested code Participate in field trials for subsea robotics systems Understand customer requirements and how to achieve them Requirements: BSc or an MSc in Software Engineering or a similar field Proficiency in designing, developing and deploying modular software solutions Proficiency in C++ or other object-oriented programming language Experience with robotics middleware (ROS, DDS, etc.) Experience with unit testing and continuous integration/testing Experience with mobile or marine robotics a plus A standout candidate will have a public code portfolio in GitHub
