Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust
The Orchards is a nine bedded recovery unit for people with longer term mental health problems, situated near the picturesque cathedral city of Ripon, only 45 minutes from Leeds and York.
We aim to help people manage and recover from mental health problems by encouraging service users to participate in social activities and therapeutic groups to learn daily living skills.
The purpose of our service is to help service users gain greater independence and follow a healthy lifestyle, achieving a good quality of life within the community.
The unit has nine en-suite bedrooms and aims to create a relaxed, homely, and informal atmosphere, staffed twenty-four hours a day by nursing staff, with a qualified nurse always on duty.
This is an opportunity for a band 5 nurse with an interest in recovery to work within a rehab/recovery ward.
As a service, we are committed to developing the individual practitioner and the team. Currently, we have had staff complete the NMP course and CBT courses. The trust runs a course on systemic family interventions, and staff are supported to complete this.
