Children and Families service in North Ayrshire is undertaking an exciting time of change and we are recruiting experienced Social Workers to join our redesigned Child Protection Team. The developments within our Child Protection Team will ensure families are supported by one team and worker throughout the period where they require Social Work support. We have implemented Signs of Safety and Safe and Together and redesigned our key C&F paperwork utilising these models to assist practitioners to have the tools to work where at all possible in collaboration with families and their networks. We feel these best supports change where child welfare/child protection worries are identified and enables workers to spend their time focused on relationships and working directly with families. We would like you to have experience in children and families fieldwork and have completed the five-day child protection training, a sound knowledge and skill base in relation to understanding the complex issues that surround child protection work. We are expanding our CP Team to enable weighted caseloads, so workers are supporting no more than 15 children. We believe this supports relationship-based practice and offers workers the chance to build effective, qualitative relationships with children and families to ensure the best outcomes for the whole family. We are passionate about making sure families receive the right support at the right time and that our workers get the opportunity to provide effective support that improves outcomes for children. If you are passionate about being part of a team that is striving to make a difference to the outcomes for children and their families then we would welcome an application from you.
