Job Title: HR Advisor (Human Resources)
Salary: £18.06 P/H
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Type: Temporary Ongoing (End of March 2025 with possibility of extension)
Location: Southampton, SO14
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday | 09:00am - 17:00pm

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our client's team and contribute to the development of a sustainable and modern organization. In this role, you will be pivotal in facilitating the client's Workforce Strategy, ensuring effective employee relations, and supporting the management teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide first-level HR and OD advice to support workforce changes and ensure they align with Council policies.
2. Assist HR Business Partners in implementing HR interventions to boost employee engagement and performance.
3. Manage employee relations queries and case work, ensuring adherence to Council procedures.
4. Contribute to workforce planning by analyzing needs and developing solutions to enhance productivity.
5. Support the training, learning, and development needs of employees to achieve Council priorities.
6. Collaborate with management teams to ensure HR processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
7. Participate in HR and OD projects aimed at improving the HR service and developing the Council as a great place to work.
8. Foster good working relationships with Trade Union representatives to resolve workplace disputes effectively.
9. Maintain accurate records of HR activities and ensure compliance with agreed procedures.
10. Research and develop HR policies that meet organizational and legislative requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
11. Member of CIPD (Post-grad level qualified or working towards).
12. Strong understanding of people management policy and practice, with experience advising managers.
13. Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and conducting training needs analysis.
14. Understanding of workforce planning principles and equality issues in the workplace.
15. Proficient in interpreting and presenting HR data for decision-making and using digital solutions to improve performance.
16. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly.
