This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services.
The role
As a Welding Quality Control Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring standards are met regarding welding on-site. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Reading inspection test plans, inspecting work, and producing reports.
2. Performing witnessing as required by the Inspection and Test Plans to meet MEH programme demand.
3. Recording results for inspections undertaken, highlighting any non-conformance and accepting or rejecting finished items as required.
4. Liaising with the Area Quality Leads to ensure appropriate levels of surveillance are deployed.
5. Working alongside the fabrication/installation team to ensure all contracted requirements have been met.
6. Reviewing quality records for accuracy and adequacy of content.
This role is full time, 38 hours per week and will be based at the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater.
Essential experience of the Welding Quality Control Inspector
* Experience as QC Inspector.
* Experience in a highly regulated industry.
Qualifications for the Welding Quality Control Inspector
* Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
* PCN or CSWIP.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
