TP Group company is recruiting an experienced and qualified Principal Maritime Safety Consultant to lead our maritime safety offering. Our team offers a range of independent and unbiased advice in safety, engineering and technical consultancy services to a wide breadth of sectors across civil and military maritime domains. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated principal consultant with the necessary leadership and business development skills to lead the development of our emerging maritime safety capability. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to take ownership and lead the development of this capability. Your Future Role You will be given the responsibility to develop our maritime safety capability supporting both external clients and wider tpgroup safety projects. You will be given the responsibility and a level of autonomy to use your skills, experience and leadership to provide an industry leading maritime safety capability. Day to day you will work in the maritime safety team delivering: Safety case management, Hazard management, Platform certification and legislation, Commission and Life Extension (COMEX / LIFEX), Hazard Identification and Analysis (HIA), Environmental Impact Screening Studies (EISS) About You The ideal candidate will have proven experience/substantial knowledge of the following: Experience of HAZID, HAZAN activities, risk mitigations and alarp justification. Experience of working to SIL 3 and above Experience of working with IEC 61508 Extensive experience of ASEMS policy, POSMS an understanding of POEMS. Safety Management within the MOD Maritime Domain Expert knowledge of the Defence maritime regulations Expert understanding of, and experience in, system safety techniques and tools Significant experience of operating in the MOD maritime safety environment Demonstrable Safety Management experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commercial awareness and a working knowledge of business development Experience of project management If you are a Maritime Safety Management Consultant and are excited by this unique opportunity to work on lead and develop our new capability we'd love to hear from you.
