Duty Engineer
We have a great opportunity for a Duty Engineer to join our Engineering department. You will be responsible for the operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of all Hotel equipment and facilities. You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of Opera (FIDELIO) and FCS maintenance reporting systems to perform your job efficiently and effectively. Our goal is to be able to respond to all maintenance issues in a systematic way, supporting your internal team members and delighting our guests with your expertise. You will monitor and control all mechanical and electrical plants of the hotel during your shift period to ensure a smooth operation of the hotel.
Who were looking for:
Someone with a pleasant and welcoming manner
Knowledge of hotel operations and processes
A City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualifier in mechanical or electrical engineering or building services related field
Experience in a luxury, 5 Star Hotel
Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability
Oral and written fluency in English
Confidence in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment
Knowledge of KnowCross or comparable software
Strong analytical skills, hands-on problem solving and good technical background
Proficiency in computers operation and basic troubleshooting
