Hotel Night Manager
Full-Time 40 hours
The Role
We are currently looking for a full-time Night Manager who will work alongside the night team to ensure the highest levels of customer service throughout the night and resolve any issues in a quick and efficient manner.
In this role you will represent the Management during the night and provide support to the Front Office team.
Responsibilities
* Manage the nights team to ensure all SOP's are achieved
* Inform all Overnight staff of nightly activities, group and VIP arrivals as well as special requests and repeat guests.
* Dealing with complaints, problem solving and any other issues that may arise.
* Provide a warm, welcoming front desk service and ensure all guests needs are catered for.
* Reconcile accounts including cash.
* Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts.
* Keep accurate financial records and ledgers.
* Perform a full site closedown ensuring the security of all areas
* Taking regular walks of the site and being pro-active in handling anti-social behaviour and complaints
* Operating the Courtyard Bar from 12am onwards when required
* Completing a full bar closedown after service
* Following procedures for stock control and wastage monitoring
* Preparing and delivering cold snacks from our new room service menu
* Ensuring all function rooms are clean and presentable for viewing at all times
* Setting up conferences, functions and events to an agreed standard
* Assisting with event turnarounds and functions when necessary
* Ensuring all public areas are presentable and tidy for the following morning
* Directing guests around the site and assisting with luggage
* Setting up room service breakfast and being able to help the restaurant team with breakfast setups and dinner closedowns as and when required
* Be able to stand in as duty manager when needed
* carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience
* Oversee hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
* coordinate Front Office activities with other departments.
* Find an effective and immediate solution to any issues that arise during the night.
* Perform end of day for the hotel and banking tasks accurately and securely.
* Run the night audit and reporting procedures.
The Ideal candidate will:
* Have basic F&B experience which would be beneficial for the role but full training will be given.
* Holding a valid emergency First Aid certificate
* Full UK driving licence
* Be available 22:45 07:15 on any five nights per week, with night-worker experience.
